MPP Office Building

Jakarta – Indonesia

MPP Office Building project is destined to become a new landmark in Jakarta. It is ideally located in the centre of the Golden Triangle, next to Semanggi Intersection and the New Semanggi Flyover on Sudirman Street, the main thoroughfare in the city's central business district. The tower will be approximately 266 m and offer some 190,000 square meters of high-quality offices, restaurants and cafes, and parking space. The main contractor was Shimizu Corporation. BAUER Pratama Indonesia was awarded to do foundation and retaining wall works for this project. The diaphragm wall of 1000mm thickness was executed using GB 34 Grab for an excavation depth of 45m. The bored piling works were executed using 1 unit BG 30 and 1 unit BG 28 to drill 1200mm diameter for a depth of 78m. Bentonite was used as slurry for diaphragm wall and polymer slurry for bored piles. To set up two different slurry plant on a very small site was a challenge, and required detailed space management. The very stringent specification requirement for verticality, required to do Koden Test on every pile and every panel at the piling platform .The project successfully completed and ahead of schedule.
