New Yogyakarta International (NYIA) Project is the one among several National Strategic Project in Indonesia. Located in Kulon Progo – Yogyakarta this airport is designed for international and also domestic flights. The airport is operated by Angakasa Pura I. The purpose of this project is to replace Adisutjipto International Airport of Yogyakarta. Many areas and buildings have already been constructed in the construction time i.e Airport Terminal, Parking Building, Airport Mosque, etc. At Parking Building we executed 1016 nos of bored pile 15 m length. One of the challenges of this project was to drill the purely sand layer by using a double-wall casing method for this soil condition. Generally, the Main Contractor only had limited time for structure completion for this project. Many pilling contractors were invited for help the foundation work, and this contributed to a very difficult situation for the supply of rebar and concrete, which was the responsibility of the main contractor. 1 BG 22 and 1 BG 28 were utilized to complete this project.
