Lotus Project is one of the new factory plants of Sorini Agro Asia Corporation (Cargill Group), located in Pandaan, East Java to produce starch and sweetener product. Design consultant Royal Haskoning Indonesia designed the factory plant foundation structures e.g. Corn Silos, Starch Dryer, Bundle Dryer and so on using bored pile with diameter 1000 mm and 600 mm with an average depth of 10 m since the ground condition are mostly rock and boulders. In this project, 2 units BG 30 and 1 unit BG 22 was utilized to complete the works. One of the main requirements of the client for awarding this contract was the high safety standards required as per their parent company standards. The very hard boulders and rock formations were a concern to the client. The allowable working hours had to follow the existing factory hours as well.
