Foundation work for Lotus Project (Cargill)

The Lotus project involves the establishment of a new factory for the production of starch and sweetener products. The factory is located at the Sorini Agro Asia Corporation (Cargill Group) in Pandaan, East Java. Royal Haskoning Indonesia designed the foundation structures of the factory plant, e.g. the corn silos, starch dryer, bundle dryer, etc., using bored piles with diameters of 600 mm and 1000 mm and an average depth of 10 m, as the ground conditions consist mainly of rock and boulders. One of the client's main requirements for awarding this contract was the high safety standards required in accordance with the parent company's standards. The very hard rocks and rock formations were a problem for the client. The permitted working hours also had to comply with the existing operating hours. All in all, however, this was no problem for our experts from Bauer Indonesia.
